I left Calgary yesterday to fly down here to Dallas. Such a long ordeal. On Tuesday I flew from Regina to Calgary. I was uberlucky that Dupe had an extra bed in her hotel room so I crashed there for a few hours because at 330am I had to leave from the hotel to the airport for my flight to Tex-ass.

You know it's going to be a great day when...

Waiting outside for the shuttle bus I had arranged for the night before, I was reading the paper and enjoyiong what truely was a perfect evening, temperature wise. I check the time - few minutes past 330... not to worry - I'm sure they'll be there. I keep reading the paper, and reading up on all the exciting Calgary Stampede news (news? what news? people get up, they start to drink, they get drunk, they be assholes - lather, rinse, repeat - it's great fun!) As I'm standing there I see a white stretch limo pulling into the hotel parking lot so I kind of try to position myself outta the way, expecting 20 rich-too-young and obnoxious to boot drunk assholes to pile out of the limo. Instead, the driver walks over to me and says "Janie? The shuttle bus is broken - they've sent me to get you." So now I get to at least pretend *I* am on e of those rich-too-young but NOT obnoxious or drunk assholes... who knew that pulling up to the airport in a huge limo would be such an amazing feeling?? Kinda embarrasing - but mostly awesome because - it was 4am - no one was around to gawk.

So here I am in Hotland... aka Tex-ass. And apparently - it wasn't even "that hot" yesterday. I'm going on strike if it gets uber hot and not leaving the airconditioning! It's def. got the humidity thing going on. That rocks considering that my current illness was apparently brought on by humidity - as it has been in the past. Speaking of sick - I'm slowly gettin' better. It's officially a week today that I've been feeling like COMPLETE ass. The pills are working great - I just gotta drag Joey outta bed cuz I have to take them with food and I ain't got none.

Guess I'll go wake his ass up now!

I first want to send my get well wishes to Janie because she is sick :( but Yay! for doctors that want to get her well to come to texas... because as much as a certain canuck missed a texan... a certain texan is really missing a canuck.. (and enough of the sappy stuff)

To the Blog: I've sorry that i've neglected you... you have been there for us for a while now...but i have to inform you that other things have come up in recent months that have taken our attention away from you... but know this, you are still in our thoughts and we wont leave you for dead.

To the readers: hello. Sorry for not posting interesting thigns... there just really hasnt been anything interesting going on... just working and talking to Janie and playing games... and i know how much janie has been hounding me to post... and from this point on... i'll post more often... even if it's boring, i'll find something to post about.

Yup... so I'm off to the hospital emergency room (the only place to ever see a doctor in town on a weekend) to deal with this heat stroke/flu/pnemonia angle I've been working full on since Thursday. Everyday I wake up feeling a bit better, and every night I go to bed feeling just as bad. No more - I'm supposed to be in Dallas on Wednesday - have to leave for Calgary Tuesday which means at some point I NEED to be in the Vag - which means at some point I NEED To do laundry and pack.

And if they tell me I can't go (which, to be honest is why I've been putting it off...)
I might just have a break down. ( I started bawling talking to my mom after uttering the words "If they tell me I can't go.....")

But I'm tired of feeling like ass - so go I shall and I'll somewhat take what they say.

Just got back from the emergency room and pharmacy...

Happy to report that the oncall doctor claims me to have both bronchitis AND pneumonia... now I ain't a doctor - but from what I know they're pretty similar. Anyways - she has me on some strong (and friggin' expensive) pills and if it doesn't start clearing up a bit by tomorrow I'm to go for an IV - she's determined to get me well for my trip!

Thank God for free medicare, cuz if I had to pay to see the doctor AND pay the $100 for my 2 prescriptions.... all imma sayin' is OUCH!

I was undecided about Texas v. paper work.

Texas won in a landslide on the last vote by the personalities.

Seems we're all missing a certain Texan more than anything right now.

Happy Canada Day to all of those out there celebrating today! Two downpours and a thunderstorm with the prospect of more to come - yay!

Perhaps off to Bienfait with Dupe tonight for the fantastic fireworks and that exciting stuff. Maybe MacMillMann, Loafy and CMann will be out that way! Who's to say, I've got myDupe what more do I need on Canada Day then my AmeriCanadian best friend?! (Joey excluded cuz he's not an option, sadly enough...)
